Uji Aktivitas Antibakteri Sediaan Gel Ekstrak Daun Alpukat (Perseaamericana Mill) Metode Pengeringan Microwave Terhadap Bakteri Propionibacterium acnes

Abstract

Jerawat merupakan masalah kulit yang sering dialami oleh masyarakat terutama usia remaja. Jerawat disebabkan oleh bakteri Propionibacterium acnes. Metode yang digunakan untuk ekstraksi adalah Microwave Assisted Extraction (MAE) dengan variasi suhu dan waktu ekstraksi. Ekstrak daun alpukat dibuat dengan metode maserasi menggunakan etanol 80% kemudian esktrak dipekatkan dengan menggunakan rotary evaporator. Pada uji fitokimia menunjukkan bahwa didalam ekstrak daun alpukat positif mengandung flavonoid, alkaloid, dan saponin. Pengujian aktivitas ekstrak daun alpukat yang diperoleh dibuat dalam sediaan gel dengan konsentrasi 5%, 10%, dan 15% kelompok kontrol positif medi-klin gel, kontrol negative aquadest steril dengan metode cakram. Evaluasi gel meliputi uji daya sebar, uji pH, uji viskositas, dan uji organoleptis. Ekstrak daun alpukat menunjukkan aktivitas terhadap Propionibacterium acnes zona hambat tertinggi yang terbentuk pada konsentrasi 15% sebesar 1,43 mm, kontrol negative pada bakteri Propionibacterium acnes sebasar 0 mm, sedangkan kontrol positif medi-klin gel terhadap Propionibacterium acnes 1,69 mm.
